Annual reporting of decommissioning data covering the next ten years
Decommissioning activity is increasing in both scope and complexity, and is no longer characterised by isolated projects, but by a long-term and evolving portfolio of activities.
To support effective planning and execution, there is a growing need for a shared, standardised and forward-looking overview of expected decommissioning including P&A activities across the industry on the NCS. The service also provides an important contribution to compliance with requirements related to the reporting of methane emissions (the new Methane Regulation).
This service provides a common, data-driven foundation for collecting and sharing decommissioning information covering a rolling ten-year horizon. The objective is to improve predictability, enable better planning and benchmarking, and support informed dialogue across operators, the supply chain and authorities.
The service is based on data provided by the operators on the NCS.
Further analysis and sharing of information is performed by Offshore Norge and shared with relevant stakeholders including but not limited to Norwegian authorities, suppliers to the decommissioning industry as well as input to the OEUK Decom Insight report.
